The Pastviny dam is located in the village of the same name in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains, about 7 km east of Žamberk. It is fed by the Divoká Orlice River. The dam was built in 1933-1938. In the flooded area 74 houses had to be demolished (residential houses, shops, school, etc.). The water area is spanned by a reinforced concrete viaduct with two arches. The dam generates electricity, protects against floods and is used for recreation. The largest bay is Studenecká Bay.
